With its gravity-defying form, Nendo’s Nod Side Table is a meditation on the perceived weight of marble and its effect on design. Here, Nendo exploits the typically negative connotation of marble’s weight to create a whimsical table that is tilted on one side. The side table features a visual tension due its seemingly unbalanced form which appears as if it could fall at any moment. In reality, the design was carefully studied and features the necessary stability due to the weight of its legs.
The Nod Side Table’s linear form is minimal in appearance yet features the renowned design studio’s typical wit and is available in white Carrara or black Marquinia versions.
