Description
The Grands Dodus Sculptures – or "big plump" in French – are a series of sculptures evoking funny, haughty, benevolent, proud, or even nervous reactions. Everyone has their own personality. These paunchy beings, half men half animals, are all different and all endearing.
Made of sandstones of different shades, each piece is a unique, handcrafted piece. Designer Audrey Jezic likes working with these raw materials, for their rough, tactile appearance, which invite you to touch. The grain of the chamotte clay brings relief, structure and character to her creations. In her words, she lets the earth express itself without enamel, to reveal varied hues, full of nuances and vibrations.
