A lamp based on a transparent, nearly invisible balloon. A hovering light reflector around the bulb looks as if the light is floating within a glass shell. Each piece has been made using traditional glass-making techniques in the Czech Republic using multiple layers of molten glass. Every layer is scrutinised by a master glassmaker before being made into the mould. The metal reflector is made using a unique metal stamping technique that goes back to Celtic times. It involves spinning cold sheet metal on a rotating form. Master metalworkers draw upon tradition and experience passed down through the ages to create the final product.
