Reduced to only what is essential, Damian Williamson's new Spillo table for Zanotta makes a statement through what it leaves out. The archetypal design of the table, with four legs in polished aluminum alloy support a tempered clear plate glass top, highlights the conscious subtraction of the superfluous and places the focus on the details which Williamson has rigorously considered. The joint between the legs and top is clean with no appearance of adhesive or engineering and further emphasizing the beauty of the pure materials. With a well considered radius in place of four sharp angles, Spillo becomes an inviting place to have a meal and conversation without the typical visual distractions found in other tables.
